The Stewart cabin is in a group called The Sandpiper Cottages, one of the 1950s cottage colonies in Eastham that were converted to condo ownership. Each owner has a cabin and a share in the upkeep of the grounds. (See Martie's Clipper Ship,and click "Blowin' in the Wind") Like Draghetti 2 next door, the Stewart cottage is a one-room efficiency with a sleeping area, in this case a futon, and a 3-way kitchenette unit with a small dining table. Each cottage has a farmer's porch. These little cabins are ideal for a single person or couple looking for economical accomodations. Two professionals traveling together could each rent a separate unit, which would be similar to having adjoining motel rooms, but with cooking facilities for additional convenience and savings, as well as the privacy of a separate building with a porch and yard.
