7 West Shore Drive, North Eastham

The Lee cottage is perched on a dune overlooking a neighborhood beach (no cars allowed, just walkers). Access is a stairway leading down to and over a sea wall. At high tide, the water rises vertically on the wall, like it would in a swimming pool; at low tide, the bare sand stretches for a long distance. Inside, the cottage is very rustic and old-fashioned feeling. The largest bedroom opens into the living room. The second is off the deck, and the extra sleeping space is a modern twin-over-double bunk in the shed/guest house behind the cottage. Remodeling will be completed for 2009 rental season.
