Welcome to PETERS REAL ESTATE, Town Center Plaza, North Eastham; we've had over 50 years here, seeing Cape Cod grow and change. We specialize in summer rentals in the National Seashore towns of Eastham and Wellfleet, where history is still being made.

Two towns, next to each other and yet so totally different, Wellfleet and Eastham have links to their fishing, whaling, and agricultural past, their glacial origins, and their artistic culture presented in an atmosphere of sun and sand, biking, hiking, and relaxing. Wellfleet still has the appearance of a typical New England village with its town hall lawn and white church spires nestled among the old homesteads of the village tradesmen. Eastham's farmers and ships' captains spread themselves throughout the rustic landscape and along the coast. And here and there, you will still find hints of the Wampanoag Indians, the first true settlers of Cape Cod.

Please click the "Index" or "Questions" button first for general information about our web site and renting (including how to reserve a cottage and send a deposit) and such policies as headcount, pets and linens. On our web site there are three ways to choose a rental, depending on your individual preferences. You can click the button "Our Rentals" and browse a full, but abbreviated index of our properties with their most important amenities. Click on the name of any listing that might suit your vacation needs for complete information. The "Dates & Rates" button will present you with the options of "Vacancies" (including off-season) and "Rates" for reviewing a list of our summer homes by either your arrival date or the cost of the rental, and again, clicking any owner's name will take to you the description of that property. At the end of each of these lists are links to our office blog (magazine), with information about the area and hints that might come in handy now and on your vacation, and for Cape Cod Institute attendees, a link to your seminar site in case you need to check the program listings and dates. There are also links from each of these pages to the others so you can obtain different types of information without backing out of the web site. Some visitors have found it helpful to print the Rates page as a check list, to refer to while looking at available dates.

We have created a new web site especially for those of you on the go.  It's much smaller than this site, and we hope that you'll want to bookmark it on your peripheral equipment.   Other than a few pictures and words to illustrate the wealth and versatility of  our natural resources, My Cape Cod Vacation Rental contains only the charts with our Wellfleet and Eastham vacancies, but they are listed separately by town.   The links are the same, however, so clicking any owner's name will bring you to that owner's full home page in our main web site.  Links at the bottom of the charts will take you to other pages of this site and to our blog.

One quick thought to pass on about the mini-site: Although I update the vacancies once or twice a week on the Vacancy Charts and in the Rentals List, the new site is easy to work with, and I will try to update it every night during this very busy time of year. Of course, all of our vacancy pages tell the last time they were updated, so you can tell at a glance how fresh the information is.

This web site was designed and created using a dial-up account to make what I hope will give my dial-up visitors an energetic experience with rapid response time. To all of you in Broadband-land, it can't get any faster anyway, and someday that technology will reach this far, but in the meantime we'll have to live with what we've got: the sea, the sunsets...
