Live in the present; relax in the past. Spend your vacation among the antique furnishings of this special old Cape Cod house in a setting that has barely changed since it was built almost two hundred years ago. Be sure to pick up the CD "Cape Cod Tales", by Steven Preu, and listen to his vocal renditions of the Cape's historical past, or buy the DVD about Highland Light, Truro's famous lighthouse, or just catch a program by a National Seashore historian to fully appreciate the home you are staying in and the effort that has been made to preserve its charm without sacrificing modern comforts. This house has three bedrooms upstairs as well as two livingroom areas with sleep-sofas. Master bedroom has a modern bath, and there's a lav off the upstairs hall as well as a full bath downstairs. Kids love the rear stairway (but some parents should keep baby gates in mind).

This rare dwelling is a little further away than we usually handle, but the owners are hoping its appeal will help find it new summer families to replace those who recently had to cancel, and who'll love it for its charm and space.
