Our web site is really moving along! Thank you all for your patience. It may never be finished because we have so many ideas for pages and links to add, as time allows, in order to provide information that will help plan your vacation and add to your enjoyment and comfort once you arrive. Our web site is divided into sections that will help you plan your trip and choose a rental. Please bookmark the site and visit us occasionally to see what we've added. Below is an index of the web site's main areas.
Please note: As with many non-membership web sites, if you return to our site after previously visiting it, especially if you bookmark it, you may get your own computer 's internally stored version when it first opens and need to use your "Refresh" button. This is more important in a case such as ours because the site is changing daily while it is under construction.
Our web site should be comfortably visible however your computer is set up. However, because of our use of charts, I find our site is best viewed on the "smaller" text size. It was also designed to be viewed on the "medium" setting. In the horizontal list at the top of the screen (File->Edit->View...), click View, then Text Size and your preferred choice. Another setting which I find helpful is Graphic Options. Right-click any empty space on your monitor screen (outside of an open window), then click Graphic Options, Panel Fit, and your choice of three settings. I prefer Maintain Aspect Ratio.
* The Contact Us button will take you to a page with our phone number, mailing address, hours, and directions to the office.
* This Index section will give you an overall view of where our buttons will lead you.
* The Rentals button takes you to an alphabetical list of all of our rental properties and contains a brief description of each cottage along with the in-season rates and the dates available. This was the main page of our original temporary web site and we have been asked to keep it for the benefit of those who want to choose a rental by seeing its amenities. Click any owner's name to see that web page.
* The Dates and Rates button offers two main options. Click the Vacancies link to scroll a calendar and see which cottages are available by starting date. Click the Rates link to choose a rental within your price range. At the bottom of each are links to move between them. We suggest you print the Rates page as a reference and check-list for visiting the other pages. Again, the owner's name is a link to the complete description and picture(s).
* The Locations button is best used after you have narrowed your choices, as each link goes to an Internet map for an individual property. Click the Locations button from any owner's page and view as many map links as desired; there are return links to any owner's page. Each of our listings also has a link to its own local sketch-map.
*The Sales page is a link to our residential sales specialist, Pam Carlo, whose office shares our building. This page has information about contacting her; you may also e-mail her directly or visit her web site from the page.
*The Blog button is a link to our office magazine. This has articles, tips, and other information about the area or your vacation needs. Some subjects are dial up access numbers, newspaper links, poetry, and recipes.
*Clicking the E-Mail button will present you with a re-addressed blank e-mail directed to our rental people.
* We have several buttons now under construction which will have information of interest to people who are looking for a rental. A Memos/Promos button will lead to informational notices of immediate interest or concern as well as promotions such as discounts for last-minute rentals. We may also invite local businesses to post notes here. It will act as our bulletin board. Other buttons may make their appearance by season or subject. We are working on one for Indian Summer, a special time on Cape Cod.
